The GGBA’s mission is to grow, promote and increase the visibility of LGBT businesses
and those businesses in the community that support them. To accomplish this goal,
the GGBA:
- Provides educational and business development programs, networking opportunities
and facilitates member-to-member exchange of information, resources and leads
- Provides a forum where members can address unique business concerns and
share a sense of camaraderie as they conduct their businesses in today’s ever-changing
and challenging business environment
- Promotes human rights issues in the workplace and in society at large through
education and positive exposure
- Offers guidance and mentoring, business referrals and professional insight
to new generations of LGBT business leaders
- Encourages entrepreneurship, self-expression, creativity and innovation
- Represents diverse member views in critical two-way communications with
local and state governments on significant business and tax issues that may
affect our businesses and the business climate of the Bay Area
The GGBA uses its affiliation with the Small Business Network, the Western Business
Alliance, the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau, the National Gay & Lesbian
Chamber of Commerce, the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association and the
U.S. Small Business Administration, to build recognition for today’s vibrant gay,
lesbian, bisexual and transgender business community and to foster the growth of
similar organizations throughout the world.
