Connecting to and with the Community
Sponsorship of the GGBA offers the highest level of recognition and visibility
to the Bay Area’s LGBT and business communities. Sponsors of the GGBA have the unique
ability to target the LGBT community in two ways: through promotions specifically
to GGBA’s loyal membership and through GGBA’s promotion of its sponsors online,
in its media outreach, in The Pride Pages and at every GGBA-sponsored program and
event.
More and more companies are discovering the high rates
of return received by targeting the loyal LGBT market which has a projected buying
power of $835 billion in 2011. According to a recent national survey, approximately
one in four (24%) gay adults said they have switched products or service providers
because they found a competing company that supports causes that benefit the LGBT
community.
Considering these figures, I’m certain you can see the amazing potential in marketing
to the LGBT community. From our monthly Make Contact networking events hosted by
sponsors, to the extensive advertising opportunities available in the Pride Pages
