#BuildwithPride in Daly City!
In #parntership with our generous sponsor Golden Gate Business Association, we celebrated our 10th annual #BuildwithPride on Saturday in Daly City!
Dykes with Drills was thrilled to have the opportunity to volunteer at Habitat for Humanity's Build with Pride this September. Founder and former AmeriCorps member, Julie Peri, helped build Habitat Terrace and was eager to share the experience of teamwork and empowerment with her group.
“Habitat provides us the opportunity to live our organization’s mission – to learn and build confidence by working on accessible projects,” she explained. “Competence with tools can be very satisfying. Habitat allows us to apply the knowledge our members acquire through our monthly workshops to situations that makes a real difference for our community. We are grateful for the sponsorship from the GGBA and hope to be back next year!"
