Which committee is right for you?..

► Communications committee

Contact communications@ggba.com if you are interested or if you have any questions.

► Events committee

The Events committee is responsible for planning and holding GGBA’s monthly Make Contact events and special events, including GGBA’s Power Lunches, Open House events, and our annual gala fundraising event. There are possibilities to take on more responsibility by serving as a chair or event lead for specific initiatives.

The Events committee meets on the first Monday of the month at 6 p.m. and the third Monday at 4 p.m.

► Finance committee

The Finance committee oversees the budget, establishes financial controls, directs long- and short-term financial planning, provides financial reporting, manages audits and accountability policies, creates appropriate investment policies and grants, and manages risks for the GGBA. The treasurer is seeking two to three non-board members to serve as independent voices for the finance committee.

We are specifically seeking members with finance, accounting, insurance, and risk backgrounds.

► Membership & Sponsorship committee

The Membership and Sponsorship committee oversees the benefit packages that come with being a partner of the GGBA, across all individual and corporate levels.

  • Help new members sign up, existing members renew their memberships, and introduce your clients and colleagues to the GGBA.
  • Help design the flyers, posters, and handouts needed to help the GGBA continue to do its best work on behalf of all of our members.
  • Help the GGBA continue to advocate on behalf of all LGBT businesses by making introductions to companies who you feel should become a partner with the GGBA.
