TurnOut's Queer and Trans Nonprofit Board Accelerator program. Deadline: April 18th
This program is designed specifically for board members at nonprofits supporting queer and trans communities, helping you gain the skills and knowledge you need to make the greatest impact possible on your nonprofit board.The program lasts for two and a half months, with one 2.5-hour session taking place over Zoom every other Thursday evening. The program will launch with a 4-hour Zoom session on a Saturday and conclude with a 4-hour Zoom session on a Saturday. Participants are expected to attend every session. The program is free-of-charge, but space is limited.

Participants will learn about a wide variety of topics related to board service, including roles and responsibilities of board members, governance vs management, board structures and procedures, board recruitment strategies, evaluation strategies, trends in queer and trans nonprofit board service, and tried and true strategies for effective fundraising. During the course of the Accelerator, each participant will complete a capstone project of their choosing to support improved operations of their nonprofit's board (for example, creating an evaluation structure or a board member recruitment strategy).Requirements: Applicants must currently serve on the board of a nonprofit that either: A) specifically focuses on queer or trans communities in its mission statement; or B) focuses on issues that disproportionately affect queer or trans communities.DEADLINE TO APPLY IS SUNDAY, APRIL 18.APPLY HERE
