Golden Gate Business Association, Grubhub, and the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce Present Substantial Grants to Strengthen Local LGBTQ+ & Allied Businesses

(SEPTEMBER 14, 2023) – San Francisco, CA – The Golden Gate Business Association (GGBA) collaborated with Grubhub, a leading online and mobile food-ordering and delivery platform, and the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) to distribute $80,000 in grants to local LGBTQ+ & Allied-owned businesses. The Community Impact Grant Program, financed by the Grubhub Community Fund, aims to fortify the local food industry, fueling growth and success throughout the community.

“Empowering local restaurants is an investment in the heart and soul of our community,” said GGBA President Tony Archuleta-Perkins. “Through the united efforts of the Golden Gate Business Association, NGLCC, and the Grubhub Community Fund, we’re honored to ignite hope and bolster the dreams of fifteen local culinary gems. Together, we dine stronger.”

“We often say at NGLCC that if you can buy it, an LGBTQ+-owned business can supply it,” said NGLCC Co-Founder & President Justin Nelson. “That is especially true of the LGBTQ+-owned restaurants and establishments across America. We’re proud to partner again with Grubhub and the Golden Gate Business Association in offering grants to support businesses throughout the nation.

With over fifty Affiliate Chambers across the United States, including the GGBA, the NGLCC has widely promoted this grant opportunity. Benefiting from the Affiliate Chamber Fund included in this initiative, non-member establishments receiving a grant will enjoy a year’s paid membership in the GGBA.
